Founder: Jacob Robertson

Born and raised here in San Diego, I've been around the game for as long as I can remember. I started playing competitive soccer at the age of 6, and ultimately bounced around to a few different local clubs in my playing career. After playing club soccer for 12 years, I decided to step away and attend college. 

I discovered (rather quickly) that college was not the right path for me, and found myself unsure about what career to enter into. Luckily for me, I was granted an opportunity to coach a team for one of my former clubs, who needed a last-minute replacement. 

Right from the start, I understood how much of an impact that a coach can make on a young player. Not only to develop them as soccer players, but to provide them with tools that exceed anything that can be achieved on the field.

By creating Up Your Game, my hope is to inspire players to be the best versions of themselves and to keep quality soccer in San Diego.
